A Cheerful & Heartwarming Holiday Tradition

Entertaining

It’s the season to be jolly. But that’s not all — it’s also the season of giving. We at Kimpton believe in extending kindness whenever we can. In the spirit of sharing the warm-fuzzies, we wanted to tell you about a tradition that our hotels in Seattle and Portland always do this time of year.

Working alongside the United Service Organizations (USO), each hotel offers a complimentary Christmas Eve overnight stay, dinner and breakfast to a military family. This nonprofit, known for its programs and services for US troops, helps us get the word out to deserving families that would find joy and comfort in spending this time away from home together. We are happy to help!

Tom Waithe, Regional Director of Operations for Kimpton Hotels in the Pacific Northwest, concurs and says: “This was an easy decision for us. To help seven military families have a nice holiday is a very small way for us to thank them for what they do every day. It’s really a gift to us, to be able to do this for them.”

Below is a pic of one of the families enjoying their mini vacay, and above is one of the host suites at the Alexis Hotel. Best wishes to all military families — and thanks for what you do to keep our country merry and bright!
