Promenade Plantée (Coulée Verte René-Dumont)
Long before New York’s High Line made elevated parks a thing, Paris had already done it. Opened in 1993, the Promenade Plantée was the very first urban garden of its kind — a visionary repurposing of an old railway into a lush, linear park suspended above the city streets.
