Kimpton Goes to Market With The Butcher’s Block

Eat + Drink

Good things come in threes, whether they’re tenors, blind mice, or Bee Gees. Now, you can add Chef Robert Wiedmaier’s trifecta of Virginia gourmet destinations to the list.

In Old Town Alexandria, his creative Belgian-American restaurant BRABO and its more casual sibling BRABO Tasting Room were joined last year by The Butcher’s Block, a retail market stocking tasty provisions for picnics, and ready-made lunches and dinners. While we love each of Wiedmaier’s spots, we’re giving … well, three cheers to The Butcher’s Block for its holiday gift baskets. (Don’t worry, procrastinators, they’ll continue to be available throughout the year.)

Here are a few examples of baskets that cater to the various people on your list. Note that custom baskets full of non-perishable food items can be shipped across the U.S., but alcohol cannot be included.
