Celebrate Pride in SF — and Across the USA

Travel Tips

Castro Street Pride Celebration

Get your Pride on in San Francisco’s Castro District.

In honor of Pride Month (June, y’all), Kimpton is proudly displaying our rainbow colors in support of the LGBT community nationwide. In particular, Kimpton is proud to partner with The Trevor Project as the first national hotel sponsor for the youth crisis-intervention and suicide-prevention organization. With a shared passion for inclusion and diversity, it’s a perfect partnership.

So no better time than Pride Month to dole out one big emotional hug via San Francisco Pride, Trevor support, and other Pride festivities across the country. The crown jewel of our efforts is a snazzy bash on June 26 at The Starlight Room atop the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco. In conjunction with The Trevor Project and dot429, the Pride soiree features DJ Juanita Moore and a live performance by Lynda Kay, whose vintage pop music and twangy rock — along with her bouffant hair and big voice — are reminiscent of a cross between Bobbie Gentry and Connie Francis. Plus there’ll be drinks, dancing and love. Lots and lots of love. Star Tickets earn access at 6pm, while general admission is from 8pm until midnight. Tickets can be purchased at dot429.com/events, with a portion of proceeds going to The Trevor Project.

Another nicety is our national Pride With a Purpose promotion. Make a reservation at any of our hotels using the Trevor Rate code TRPR and get 10 percent off the best available rate, plus we’ll make a $5 donation to The Trevor Project. It’s a win-win for everyone.
