Chalet Inspired Cocktails to Keep You Warm this Season

Eat + Drink

Take a minute and picture it: Towering mountains framed by gently falling snow, a chalet with warm twinkle lights outside (maybe even a crackling fireplace glowing from within), and — best of all — you.

What are you doing at this magical chalet you might ask? Any number of things: Playing a classic board game with family (you’re winning of course), catching up with an old friend, or perhaps you’re just sitting and enjoying the idyllic scenery of the season, taking a moment to just breathe.

Cheers to the holiday season.

It’s time for all of the best cocktails of the year.

No matter how you’re spending your chalet holiday, one thing is for certain — you need a perfect cocktail that embodies the scents and tastes of the season. Chalet Cocktail Recipe #6: Gstaad Toddy

Gstaad is a German-speaking town in Switzerland located in the canton of Bern, with nearly year-round skiing in the Alps. If making this toddy, look for a tea that contains “Alpine Herbs” including Chamomile and Mint or Peppermint.

Because a hot toddy and cold weather go together like.. a hot toddy and cold weather.

Chalet Cocktail Recipe #8: Batanga

The Batanga was created in 1961 by the legendary Don Javier Delgado Corona, owner and bartender of La Capillain Tequila in Mexico. Don Javier famously (and ritualistically) stirred this drink with the knife he used to cut the limes, something he did into his eighties. (Side note: We do not recommend.)
