Kimpton Schofield Hotel — Cleveland, Ohio
The freestanding fireplace in the lobby of Kimpton Schofield Hotel is a real eye-catcher. Its open design in the center of a cozy lounge area makes it the perfect welcome to Cleveland — emanating that “Midwest Nice” feeling that people love.

Guests can embrace the warmth in front of a crackling fire in what feels more like the living room at your stylish best friend’s house than a hotel lobby. A large, matte black hood pulls smoke from the hearth up and out of the hotel, so that the only thing guests breathe in is a sigh of relaxation (and a little of Kimpton’s signature scent, too).
Kimpton Forum Hotel — Charlottesville, Virginia
The well-appointed lobby at Kimpton Forum Hotel sports vaulted ceilings, plush, varied seating, and not one, but two fireplaces. One fireplace separates two areas — the lobby lounge area and the Library — and guests can gaze between both through the flickering flames.

This 1860’s-era building’s original Beaux-Arts spirit is honored with a large, stately fireplace right in the lobby of Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City. This fireplace has a lot of history — it’s been in the building (which was formerly the National Bank of the Republic) for dozens of years.

The fireplace is the main focal point of the lobby, stopping guests in their tracks the minute they step through the hotel’s doors. Made of hot rolled steel with a dark black matte finish, the gas fireplace sports a glass cooling system, so guests can safely be near (and even touch) its glass.
Kimpton Aertson Hotel — Nashville, Tennessee
The second you approach the double doors of the Kimpton Aertson Hotel, you see its striking double-sided fireplace. It runs year-round, but is particularly helpful at warming guests between Nashville’s chillier months — mid-October through mid-April.

The floor-to-ceiling fireplace structure is so intriguing because it’s completely covered in grey and brown river stones hanging from strings. There’s seating on both sides, and it’s a guest-favorite location for a very cool photo opp.
Kimpton Fitzroy — London, England
Take your pick of several singular fireplace moments at Kimpton Fitzroy, a Victorian era-built luxury hotel off Russel Square in London. First up: A lobby fireplace in an arched marble alcove right when you step foot into the hotel. This one gets going during the chilly months, and guests love sinking into the armchairs next to it and admiring all of the lobby’s historical design motifs — molding, tile, columns, and wrought iron.
