A little birdie told us that Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara is the place to be this summer. Why? It’s simple. Because of wine.
As one of Kimpton’s newest hotels, Canary Hotel has a lot going for it (Spanish coastal-style décor, a buzz-y downtown location, a farm-to-table restaurant inside). But the real spirit of the place can be felt on its rooftop terrace known as “The Perch.” It’s Santa Barbara’s only rooftop terrace, so you can imagine how many people flock there to soak up the views and sun. Things really pick up every Monday night from 5:30-8 p.m. through October 15 with Wine on the Perch.
Grab a glass: Each time, there is a new local winery highlighted, sips are poured and artisan cheeses are served. It’s a great chance to discover the regional vino scene and connect with friends and fellow travelers. The cost to attend is $25/person and tickets can be purchased at Coast Bar located inside the hotel.
