Just in time for the dog days of summer, our head bartender at B&O American Brasserie in Baltimore, Brendan Dorr, offers a video recipe for the tangy, refreshing Le Citron Fizz cocktail. It’s got a citrusy bite that’s sure to beat the heat (and prevent scurvy).
It’s simple to build but includes a couple of unique ingredients, including Dimmi Liquore di Milano, an Italian aperitif with an orange essence that’s become a go-to item for bartenders, Fever-Tree Bitter Lemon mixer, and a sweet-and-sour grapefruit gastrique you can whip up yourself (check out the second video for that recipe).
Look out summer, it’s about to get fizzy up in here.
